Paul Dubois, President, Certified Arborist WE-0937A

Paul A. Dubois got his first taste of Tree Care back in 1984 when he worked for six years, finishing as a master foreman, at Davey Tree. In 1991 he decided to go out on a limb and became an I.S.A. Certified Arborist and opened the doors to OF THE WOODS in 1993! In his spare time….Paul was a member of the Calistoga Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed leading strike teams fighting wildland fires and ultimately became Fire Chief.

Being both a United States Navy and Merchant Marine Veteran, he still enjoys sailing as the Captain of his own sailing vessel! He his favorite food is pizza and so christened his sail boat with the name “Pizza”.

Anthony Bartell, Vice President of Operations

Anthony has been with OF THE WOODS for 8 years, but has been in the business for 14 years. He has previous experience working for Davey Tree & Oregon Fire Fighting. He is happily married with 2 children.

Anthony’s experience & work ethic makes him one of the best all around tree guys in the state. No one can out work this man.

Steve Andrews

Steve has been with the crew since 2006. A welcome addition, bringing his years of line clearance tree trimming at Davey Tree where he has 12 years experience. Definitely a “Euc” man, but we’ll keep him anyway!

Tina Hegwood

Tina, has been with OF THE WOODS for over 5 years. Don’t let that petite frame fool you, she is a passionate person who is one of the hardest workers we ever seen. She had prior tree work experience and if you have a stump to grind, she’s your gal!

Paul Dubois VII, Certified Arborist WE-9034A

A new ISA Certified Arborist in the Family Business. Paul passed his test up in Chico this year, he has demonstrated his determination and willingness to know all he can about the trees that we care for. He is continuing to climb the family trees and putting down roots at the same time with Kalin his wife and their second baby on the way. Great things are in store for this second generation “Oak Man”.

Joshua Beall

Josh is a very welcome addition to our crew. He has been up and down more trees in the Napa Valley than most guys. A transplant from Britton Tree, he has learned it right! With years of experience, another quality “Oak Man” who has found a home here.

David Inman

David is finishing his second year in the business. His skills as a groundsman are invaluable to the crew. And now his feet are beginning to leave the ground, David is spending more time “on rope” and coming soon you will be seeing him in a tree near you!

All of our crew members are dedicated to keeping current with the industry’s safety and standard guidelines… Including tree workers continuing education, current CPR and First Aid Certified.
